The full refurbishment of the Emergency Department at East Surrey Hospital demanded great care in planning the design in order to maintain operation of the department. To this end, the works were carried out over multiple phases refurbishing the area to provide new Reception and Streaming, Majors, Observations, and Paediatric Wards.
